There are loads of moments in Gran Turismo 7 that have made me laugh, but one race still absolutely destroys me every time I think about it.
I basically took everybody out. 😭😂
And no, this was not some carefully planned tactical move. It was one of those situations where everything went wrong at exactly the same time.
I came flying into the corner way too confidently, realised far too late that I was carrying too much speed, hit the brakes, and immediately knew I was finished.
The car just kept going.
Straight into the group ahead.
What followed was complete chaos.
One car got launched sideways, another got spun around, somebody else got collected trying to avoid it, and within about two seconds the entire section of track looked like a motorway pile-up. Cars were pointing in every direction while I somehow bounced through the middle of it all wondering what on earth I had just done.
The funniest part was that every attempt to recover somehow made things worse.
I tried to get the car pointing the right way and nearly hit somebody else. Someone tried driving around the wreck and got caught up in it. Another car came through at full speed and joined the disaster.
At that point I wasn’t even annoyed anymore. I was just laughing.
It was one of those GT7 moments where you know the race is completely finished, so all you can do is sit there watching the absolute nonsense unfold.
I’m normally really focused on driving cleanly, hitting braking points properly and keeping races competitive, which probably made it even funnier. One tiny mistake turned me from racing driver into an accidental bowling ball.
Strike. 🎳😂
I genuinely don’t think I could recreate it if I tried.
Everybody was gone.
Race ruined.
Cars everywhere.
And somehow it became one of my favourite GT7 memories ever.
Sometimes the best racing moments aren’t the wins, the perfect laps or the close finishes.
Sometimes it’s accidentally wiping out half the grid and laughing about it afterwards. 😂
